"Pipe-cleaner challenge" and more measuring!

Today, as a work station, I gave my students ten pipe-cleaners and a piece of aluminium foil.  I "challenged" them to create something out of these items.  The creativity ran wild.  I heard amazing stories about each creation.  We also continued to measure using Unifix cubes.  They worked in groups of four, to measure the same items they measured the other day (using Popsicle sticks).  One of the boys came up to me after we were done with the measuring and asked, "when is math going to start?"  I told him we just finished and he couldn't believe it.  AWESOME...my job here is done.
